How we make money

This site makes money through the use of affiliate links. Whilst we get paid for referring you to particular websites, this does not impact our comparison service. In short, we always present the best deals available, even if we do not benefit financially.

We have commercial relationships with the following retailers:

  • BT
  • EE
  • John Lewis
  • NowTV
  • Plusnet
  • Post Office
  • Sky
  • Talktalk
  • Tentel
  • Virgin
  • Vodafone

Our sorting algorithms

We provide various sorting metrics to enable users to find their best deal. These are calculated as follows:

Average Monthly Cost
• Total Cost / length of contract

First Year Cost
• Line rental * 12 + package cost (taking into account any promotions) * 12 - gift value + broadband cost (taking into account any promotions) * 12 + static IP costs + router costs + connection fee + activation and installation fees + tv cost (taking into account any promotions) * 12 + activation and installation fees - gift value

Total Cost
• Line rental * length of contract + package cost (taking into account any promotions) * length of contract - gift value + broadband cost (taking into account any promotions) * length of contract + static IP costs + router costs + connection fee + activation and installation fees + tv cost (taking into account any promotions) * length of contract + activation and installation fees - gift value

If two packages have the same price we typically have further sorting metrics in the order of first year cost, total year cost and then speed where appropriate.

We provide a whole of market comparison (although we do not include every single tariff, such as those not available online, nor we do we calculate out of bundle charges, such as premium or international calls). This means we include all those companies that are established players in the market including those that we may not have a direct relationship with. We do not include Broadband-only products that require a separate BT or other Home Phone provider connectivity nor do we include TV packages from those that just sell digital boxes. Furthermore, some premium TV products are currently not included, but this will be reviewed in the future.

Promotions that include cash or cash-equivalents (such as Prepaid Mastercards) are used as gift values in our sorting metrics. However, store cards or promotions that have restricted use are not.

Data Protection and Equality Acts

We are fully committed to full compliance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998 (Registration number ZA096734) and the Equality Act 2010.

Some contracts are reduced in price if you already have services with the supplier.

For example, if you have BT Broadband, you save £5 per month on a BT Mobile SIM, or if you add an additional EE SIM to your account you can save money too.

Select any of the products you already have below to ensure that you find the best deals available.
